Mora Ceramics Mugs

While researching Royal Doulton mugs, writing about them, and searching for cups that would look good in the cabinet, I also came across Mora Ceramics mugs. They look nice too and would be damn classy, right next to your Doulton stuff.

So, with this new knowledge of more mugs, I have tried to answer your Mora Cermaics questions below, the best I can. And while I do, recommend some of my favorites.

Where To Buy Mora Ceramics Mugs

Mora has their own website, you can go straight to it and never speak of this blog post again. But you may like some other sites to do your purchasing. Here are the places you can buy online and in person.

That seems to be about it online. I like that it’s kind of exclusive like that.

A lot of the travel mugs are sold out on their website but they are available on Amazon. Seems kind of weird to me to not have the website fully stocked. Maybe Mora has an exclusive deal with Amazon or something.

Heads up: Amazon and eBay are affiliates of Blog of the House; it’s possible I could make a commission if you buy something through those links.

Mora Cermanics Travel Mugs

This one is my favorite. At the time of writing this, it is sold out on Mora’s site, but Amazon seems to be hot with them. You may like one of the tea mugs though.

Double Wall Ceramic Coffee Mug/Latte Set

I would not say I am a big latte or coffee drinker, but I do drink them. And these mugs are my favorite size. Something about it feels right, doesn’t matter what the drink is in them.

If you need video footage of a Mora mug in action, this person has that:

Where Is Mora Ceramics?

I had a hard time finding where their US office is or if they had a brick-and-mortar store. They do not seem to and the ceramics are made in China. Mora cites the incredible skill in ceramics as the reason they are made there. Okay, that could be the reason. Could be.

Is Mora Ceramics Worth it?

They seem to be. They have a lot of happy customers and they seem to mostly perform as advertised. Here is what a buyer of one of Mora’s mugs said about his purchase:

“Wow! I’ve never been very excited about a coffee mug, of all things, in my life! That is, until I received my ceramic mug. What do I like about it?- heats surprisingly quickly- retains heat very nicely- nice cap design- superbly crafted- excellent design. A thing of beauty that does its job extremely well!”

Royal Doulton Mugs (The Ones I Like)

I wanted to help you find the best Royal Doulton mugs (and mugs LIKE Royal Doulton’s) to have around the house or give as gifts. So I went all over the Internet and curated a list of the nicest ones (to me), so you don’t have to muck through like I did.

Of course, like many sites, most of the links are affiliates, and all it means is I might get a percentage of the sale if you end up buying something.

Hope you find a nice mug set or get some good ideas for one

Royal Doulton 1815 Mixed Patterns Mug Set of 4

.

Durable, chip-resistant porcelain. Good for all day everyday use or for the odd times there is company. Simple but has personality. Currently running around $48 on Amazon or check their website.

How the mug began:

Royal Doulton 1815 Mug Blue

I love the color on this one, it’s why I picked it out on its own – I have not seen it in a set anyway…wait, it is in this dinner set. A cheaper entry into the 1815 series too. Check the price on Amazon or Royal Doulton’s website.

Royal Doulton Pacific Blue Mugs – Set of 6

The set is available at Amazon or the Royal Doulton website – running around $75. I particularly like the dotted blue one and luckily it is one you can buy individually.

Royal Doulton Signature 1815 Set of 4 Mugs

Royal Doulton Signature 1815 Mugs – Set of 4

The aqua blue inside and how each cup seems to be a little different, that is what got me to look at these. They run around $71 on Amazon – I wasn’t able to find them on the Royal Doulton site. (Maybe a bit valuable now?)

Royal Doulton Olio Black Mug by Barber Osgerby

It is very solid looking, and a bit masculine in a good way. It’s on my Christmas wish list. Find it on the Royal Doulton website or on Amazon – running around 11 to 25 bucks – depending on if you catch it on sale.

Happy Mug Shopping

There is also a Royal Doulton line of mugs that are linked with Gordan Ramsey which don’t quite do it for me at the moment. But I will give it to them that they are more reasonably priced, so I can appreciate that.

I only discovered mugs and dishware like this recently. And I feel I might become obsessed. And yes, I see the cheaper knockoffs on Amazon too – but that is just what they are, knockoffs. Better to get the real thing, that is what this blog is about – stepping up your house game a bit.

Hope you found something and are enjoying it. Let me know if you do (or even don’t)

-Michael

PS: I also wrote about a simular mug maker, Mora.
